I sent my short story "Windigo", published in the anthology Mythspring, out again just recently to a possible market that podcasts previously published stories. They said no thanks. That's fine. I'll look for another outlet for it.

Sad lack of writing
It's been days now and I haven't managed to set aside the little bit of time I need to get even a small chunk of writing done.
Bam!
Story gets rejected, story gets sent out again. A three day turnaround on getting "By the Side of the Road" out to the next market is pretty close to my record time. Of course half an hour is theoretically possible, but let's not go crazy.
Rejected
Damn. Another rejection. Par for the course I know. On the positive side I have the next market picked out for "By the Side of the Road." Tonight I should be able to send it on its way again.
Cranking it out tonight.
Sent my story "By the Side of the Road" to Chiaroscuro webzine less than 5 seconds ago. And since I missed posting it earlier, this is a story that I tried placing in the Tesseracts XIII anthology. They rejected it, but I know you're all smart enough to have deduced that.
Bring out your dead

Coming down off the ledge

I've just had a lackluster record in being paid for mine. Most of the previous post came from listening to… Continue reading Coming down off the ledge
Writing update
Since my last writing-related entry I've finished first drafts for a short story and a novelette. Now though, as the pro market suffers a sudden bout of shrinkage I've been wondering how much effort I should be putting into it. I expect, though I'm no expert, that it means unprecedented competition from new/relatively unpublished authors like… Continue reading Writing update
Company Car developments
Sad, but Storyteller magazine, to which I sold my story "The Company Car" is no longer there. I confirmed that it closed-up shop. I appeared in what was the last issue.Oh well, this is the chance you take with smaller magazines. I received my cheque and my three contributor copies, and the magazine went out… Continue reading Company Car developments
OMG, I killed it.
No, I doubt it was me, but the web site for Storyteller magazine, to which I sold my story "The Company Car" is no longer there. I'm checking to see if this is temporary or not. If it is then I appeared in what was probably the last issue.
