I spent most of this month doing the preparations for my leave, which started at the beginning of February. This included final changes to the plot outline and character sketches for the major characters. I also fiddled quite a bit with the geography and culture of the world for the story. Novel update
The major events of the plot for the novel started to gel. I had a good sense at this point of the story, but not on a detailed level. One of the major characters changed sex, which helped create some additional conflict for the storyline.
Writing update
I had a major breakthrough with a short story that had been bothering me for an inordinate amount of time. While Liz and I were at the cottage I finally figured out the plot that would satisfy me.
