In my recent attempt to purchase the domain markladouceur.com, I found out that another Mark Ladouceur already owned it. I also found out that this other Mark Ladouceur is also a fiction writer who’s published some short stories and is shopping around a first novel.
What the hell are the chances of not just two Ladouceurs in the same country being writers, but fiction writers at or near the start of their careers? It’s even harder to believe that two Mark Ladouceurs are fiction writers at the start of their career.
This came as frustrating news (possibly for him too). I had planned on just using my first and last name, but now it looks like I’ll likely need to use either my middle initial or middle name. Maybe for complete clarity we could each use our middle names or initials.
