Old short story returns from the dead

I recently re-read an old short story from my folder of dead ends. It’s the first time I’ve looked in there for signs of life. One story surprised me by showing some promise. Tonight I finished transcribing edits that I made to the hard copy last Friday on my night out. This is kind of exciting; a new short story without all the work of drafting it from scratch. A bit more polish and I think I can show it to my beta readers for feedback.
