I've worked the past 5 nights to finish edits on a short story, so far titled "Guardian of the Heart". Now I have just one last scene to rewrite and that'll be that. And right after it's done I can start edits to the novelette I drafted late last year.
I'm editing a short story and as I go through it, the word "was" appears, a lot. Too much really. It looks lazy when I'm sure, in most cases, there's a better verb lurking in my vocabulary. Page proofs are copies of the story as well as table of contents and bio with the page design in place for me to proofread and hopefully catch any errors. It looks great! Finished the markup of the hardcopy for the second chapter and entered it. Started working on the third chapter.
