Met with Rob Sawyer to go over a short story. He’s currently Writer in Residence at the Merrill Collection of the Toronto Public Library. He read a short story I had been working on and gave me a good critique. Before I left I ran an idea past him. I was thinking of working on just the first three chapters of the book and the outline since that’s all Tor wants to read. And while it’s sitting on someone’s desk at Tor I can keep working on the rest of the book.
He said that was a good idea and so that’s what I’m planning on starting.
