But then I’ve been doing things around the house and I just feel too tired to think of much that’s witty. So on with random updates:
I did take advantage of the nice weather this past weekend to dig some drainage ditches in my backyard. With the clay and multitude of rocks this was not fun. The pick that my neighbour loaned me did speed the task though. Now I’ve laid the drainage pipe and I’m ready to cover the entire thing in, all one hundred and fifty feet of it.
The other day, for no perceptible reason my PC decided to stop recognizing my MP3 player, which heretofore had not given any trouble. Since the player worked when I connected it to another PC I can only figure that my PC, like all other Windows-based PCs is a piece of shit. I know it’s a matter of troubleshooting, but I’m tired of putting lots of time into fixing Windows problems. I’m really counting down until this fall when I buy a Mac.
Writing is slow, but I’m planning on devoting a chunk of time to it this weekend.
Watercolour classes started again on Thursday. It’s nice to have a set time for painting, because I can’t seem to set aside time for it outside of classes.
I won’t pimp my Linux distro to you. Really. ::strolls away whistling::
I figure Linux is about the equivalent to Windows in terms of how much time and effort I need to put into to it just to get up and running.
Between the two, XandrOS is a tad less work and a lot more fun to mess with than XP. At least it is for me.
