Mortality

It’s a hell of a thing finding out through Twitter, or any social media, that a friend’s in a life-threatening battle with a lung-infection. It’s too early for me to start losing friends. At any age I’m sure I wouldn’t be ready. That my friend is my age and has two kids the same age as mine forces me to look at my life and the choices I’ve made and will continue to make. And are those choices ones that I’m happy with?
We all have to face those things. Some earlier than others. Instead of getting maudlin and going on about living life to the fullest (something we all know we should do, but seldom act on), I’ll just say, “Kell I wish you all the strength you need to get through this.”
