I sent my short story "Windigo", published in the anthology Mythspring, out again just recently to a possible market that podcasts previously published stories. They said no thanks. That's fine. I'll look for another outlet for it.

Sad lack of writing
It's been days now and I haven't managed to set aside the little bit of time I need to get even a small chunk of writing done.
Bam!
Story gets rejected, story gets sent out again. A three day turnaround on getting "By the Side of the Road" out to the next market is pretty close to my record time. Of course half an hour is theoretically possible, but let's not go crazy.
Rejected
Damn. Another rejection. Par for the course I know. On the positive side I have the next market picked out for "By the Side of the Road." Tonight I should be able to send it on its way again.
Alan Moore’s going to hate me
I saw Watchmen twice this past weekend and liked the movie better than the book. Here's why: the ending tied into the characters more coherently: Having the explosions in multiple cities look like the work of Dr. Manhattan used the concept of him as a god-like character rather than the book's alien squid, which came… Continue reading Alan Moore’s going to hate me
Moby Dicked
I've given up on reading Moby Dick. I made it at least three quarters thorugh and still no whale. There are huge blubbery lumps of exposition though. Chapters and chapters of them. Books read in 2007 and 2008
I usually do this once a year and usually closer to the begining of the year, but I missed last year completely and am only getting to this year now. This list is only books I finished reading. 2008 A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens Eagle in the Snow, by Wallace Breem Identity Crisis, by… Continue reading Books read in 2007 and 2008
Please excuse the mess
Still setting up shop, ironing out the kinks, fixing, formating and frakking around.
Cranking it out tonight.
Sent my story "By the Side of the Road" to Chiaroscuro webzine less than 5 seconds ago. And since I missed posting it earlier, this is a story that I tried placing in the Tesseracts XIII anthology. They rejected it, but I know you're all smart enough to have deduced that.
Bring out your dead
Brought my first and still only "pro" publication, "Windigo" back from its resting place and sent it to the horror podcast Pseudopod for possible publication. Boy that was a lot of alliteration at the end of that last sentence. Their response time on my last submission "The Company Car" was a bit more than 60… Continue reading Bring out your dead
